Supplies, equipment, medications, post-op totes, and other necessary items for our elective missions are housed at the warehouse, and we are always working with some of our dedicated volunteers to maintain current inventory and keep organization in place.

We would like to invite you to join us for a “Warehouse Work Weekend”. No experience is necessary (age 16 and up)! Whether you are a medical or non-medical volunteer, there will be many ways you can contribute and help us in our OR, Anesthesia, Recovery, Central Supply, and Administrative areas. We will be working on Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30. Please click on the link below to sign up for one or both days, indicating the hours that work best for your schedule.

If you have any questions, please contact Kristin McCool at kristin@leapmissions.org or call the LEAP office at (972) 566-6550. We hope to see you there!

IMG_6150The students in Hyer Elementary’s Kindness and Compassion (KC) Club are committed to serving others by participating in community service projects. Last fall, the KC Club, open to fourth-graders, collected socks and blankets to give to a homeless shelter. Hyer Counselor Linde Thompson says her students are inspired to go forth to serve.

IMG_6151This year, the students selected LEAP Global Missions as one of their service projects. Emily Cook, LEAP’s Director of Finance, spoke to the KC Club to share more about LEAP. These compassionate students plan to collect toothbrushes, toothpaste, vitamins, and diapers to help fill our patients’ post-operative totes. Thank you, KC Club, for spreading kindness to other children across the globe and making a difference!

Lori and Danny

Forever Mom Lori with Danny

As you know, Danny has been living with his forever family for several months now in the Kansas City area. Over the Christmas holidays, Lori, Eric, their three children, and Danny all traveled together as a family to China. This was an important journey for this incredible family, one that we all have been praying for at LEAP. On January 8, our sweet Danny was formally adopted by his forever family!

And, just a couple of days later, one of Danny’s former Bethel China classmates, Tracy, was also adopted by Lori and Eric! Danny and his new, ever bigger family all plan to travel a few more days in China before returning home. We are overjoyed for Danny and this wonderful blessing in his life. We are also truly humbled and amazed by Lori and Eric who have the most perfect and beautiful hearts for these special children. What a blessing!
