Most of LEAP’s medical mission teams are plastic and reconstructive surgeons with a fully supportive operating and recovery team, but there are many opportunities to join LEAP in touching lives both locally and abroad.
Please complete the appropriate volunteer form below, and a team member will be in contact soon.
LEAP’s medical mission teams primarily specialize in treating infants and children with craniofacial abnormalities, but we do offer other specialized surgical, medical and dental services at some specific site locations, depending upon the specific need identified. Opportunities for disaster relief may present as the need arises.
If you are a medical professional with experience in pediatrics in the following areas, please click on the button below: plastic and reconstructive surgery, anesthesia, anesthesia support, OR & PACU nursing, or scrub tech. If you have other surgical and medical training in pediatrics and want to serve, please complete the form and note your specialty training.
There are limited spaces available for non-medical volunteers to serve on our mission trips. These opportunities are primarily for young adults interested in mission and/or medicine. We often share this experience with medical or nursing students or other medical-related professionals.
Additionally, non-medical volunteers are always appreciated to help us organize and execute locally. If you are interested in opportunities involving our warehouse, event planning, office administrative and computer work, fundraising, and/or are an interested creative professional, we would love your help.
OTHER WAYS TO SERVE
There are many ways that you can get involved with LEAP!
Many of you have key community connections that present wonderful opportunities to share information and raise awareness about LEAP Global Missions. Whether at your church, workplace, or other organizations, we would love for you to share your story. We have been the beneficiaries of many creative and fun ways to raise funds. Examples include personal speaking engagements, fun runs, golf tournaments, and donations in lieu of birthday or wedding gifts. Find your own way to help children in need receive free surgical care!
Serve on an Event Committee
We have two major events annually with Host Committee opportunities: Cupcakes for a Cause in the spring and our annual fundraising Gala in the fall. If you enjoy serving in this way, come and join us!
Other Ways To Be Involved
We have many opportunities to be involved. Join us at the warehouse, help transport medical supplies to and from the airport for mission travel, prepare post-op totes for our mission patients, gather toys or sewing projects, work in the office on administrative projects, and help at our fundraising events to make sure they run smoothly. These opportunities are great for youth service hours. We do not offer hours for court-mandated community service.
