Belize was my promise to God to pay it forward, and it was truly a leap of faith! Not knowing a single person on the team, I had faith The Lord had brought me to LEAP with gifts to share. My hope was to bring blessings to others and what I received was so much more!
I prayed to bring hope to the children of Belize. Their warm smiles and patient gratefulness of the local people actually brought reassurance of the human spirit to me. I had hoped to bring a strong work ethic to the team, and this wonderful team showed me exactly what it means to give tirelessly in the spirit of love for other human beings. I had hoped to bring the gifts of my experience and education to better the lives of the people of Belize, but it was the simple sense of friendship and community that has completely blessed my life.
Early mornings, hard work, late nights, and lots of sweat has been God’s way of teaching me humility and grace, but greatest of all is how simply loving one another can change lives! Thank you, Belize!
