Our small but dedicated staff does an army of work to ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of our programs. Today, we have staff announcements for some familiar faces (and one new one!) here at LEAP
Rick Wyman, Executive Director
LEAP’s Board of Directors has chosen fellow Board Member Rick Wyman to lead the transition to new executive leadership following Debbie Wisdom’s departure from the role. With a background in operations consulting, change management, and strategic leadership, Rick has experience working alongside nonprofits to aid in their development from an operational and strategic perspective. Rick has been involved with LEAP for almost 5 years, and we greatly appreciate his leadership during this time.
Donna Matthews, Director of Missions
Donna has been promoted following 4 years as our Missions Coordinator. During her time with LEAP, she has traveled on 17 missions! Donna is the go-to person for ensuring our mission trips run smoothly and effectively, thanks to her strong organizational skills and dedication to LEAP. Much of her work is behind the scenes; her many responsibilities include warehouse inventory and ordering of all mission supplies and medications, facilitation of credentials for all medical personnel and visas for all mission participants, working with our in-country hosts and non-governmental organizations for patient outreach, education and selection, and maintenance of all patient medical records for LEAP and our participating host hospitals.
Ashley Winder, Office Manager
Ashley has worked in the nonprofit sector for 6 years and has served as Communications Coordinator at LEAP for 3 of those years. She was recently named LEAP’s Office Manager and is responsible for keeping LEAP running efficiently across all areas. She has worked with arts and education nonprofits in the past and has an extensive background in office administration, project development, grant writing, and social media. Ashley can do just about anything and has an incredible work ethic.
Scott Turner, Director of Development
Scott joined LEAP in October 2017 as our new Director of Development at the high recommendation of Missy Wyszynski, who previously held the role (pictured here with Scott). For the last 12 years, Scott worked as a fundraiser for organizations like Texas Tech University, Texas Health Resources, and others. Instrumental in starting the Lee Park Junior Conservancy Board, serving as their first chair and later as chair of the Conservancy Board, Scott has also helped raise money for many charitable events here in Dallas. We are incredibly fortunate to have him as a member of our team. He leads our donor relations, fundraising efforts and associated events, and serves as a liaison to the Board’s Development Committee.
