LEAP’s mission trip to Zimbabwe is just around the corner! Leading our entire team of 25 volunteers is pediatric craniofacial plastic surgeon Dr. Eric Payne (Houston, pictured right), who will be working alongside Dr. Jordi Expel (Mexico City). This will be Dr. Payne’s seventh LEAP mission and Dr. Espel’s fifth. New to our team is Dr. Jose Castro Garcia, a craniofacial plastic surgery fellow at Medical City Hospital Dallas who will be traveling with LEAP for the first time. These three surgeons will work together to provide exceptional surgical care to the children of Harare.
We are thankful to these humanitarian surgeons and to our other medical volunteers who give their time and talents to selflessly serve these children in need. Since 2009, LEAP has traveled annually to Harare to provide hope, help and healing to the beautiful children of Zimbabwe. We are blessed by our wonderful local partners who work tirelessly to help facilitate our mission of service.
